Our long term recovery scholarship provides men and women with their first month's rent in a Sunrise Fund approved sober house.  When a recipient is approved for funding, the fund will work directly with the sober house to arrange payment.

 

Once an application is received it is taken to the board to be discussed.  References will help from someone such as a case manager or social worker.  We may also ask you to follow up with Christian for an informal interview.  Ideally applicants will be coming directly from a detox or treatment program for sober living.

 

Initial funding is for 1 month and may be reviewed if applicant reaches out and house manager can support that A. additional funding may be necessary and B. the recipient is working hard and serious about their recovery.

 

Our mission is to provide a pathway to sustained addiction recovery for those in need of financial assistance to support recovery treatment and to begin a life of sobriety. Our goal is to be a financial support in the crucial time between rehab and long term sobriety. We also require recipients send us an update email after their first month and let us know how they are doing.
